Taking inspiration from the secret and disused spaces found in Summerhall - the former Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies in Edinburgh - re/sonant plays on the more macabre atmosphere evoked by the idea of a veterinary clinic – surgical procedures, dissections, incinerations.
The piece – an exploration of the aural qualities of metallic structures – aims to convey and amplify a feeling of subtle unease, punctuated by the subdued creaks and sounds of an abandoned building.
The exhibition ran in Summerhall from 8 March to the 18 May 2013.
